About of water
Water is very essential for life. It is important for human being, animals and other living organisms to perform their life activities. No one can live without water . Three by the fourth part of the world is covered by water. The molecular formula of water is H2O.

Sources of water
Those places of parts from where water produce are known as sources of water. There are various sources of water om Earth.The sources of water which are potentially useful in order to fulfill the necessity of water to the human beings community and the environmental are called Sources of water.Some of sources of water are;
1) Ocean or sea: 97% of the total water is found in the ocean. It supports a large number of aquatic plants and animals.The water of the ocean is salty so it not useful for day to day activities of the human.
Ground water Resources: Those water that are found inside the surface of the earth is known as ground water. They are reserved large amount they are free from dust particulars.

Lake,River,Pond and waterfall: River, Lake, ponds and waterfalls etc are the surface of the water. They are used by various purpose. They are use for drinking, agriculture, industrial purpose,
Use of water
1) A large amount of water is used for irrigation from river, lack, waterfall etc.
2)large amount for water is use in industries and factoies for the production of good and products.
3)Water is used for the production of good and products.
4)Water is used for daily life activities like for cooking food, drinking, garden, for cleaning etc.
5)Water is also used for entertainment like for swimming, rafting, etc.
6) It is also used for fish farming and other.
7) It is largely used by plants for food production and their living.

HARD AND SOFT WATER
There are two type of water, soft water and hard water. Hard water is a type of water which can from lather with soap.
Mostly, the salts of metals like magnesium sulphate, calcium sulphate, magnesuim chloride, megnesium bicarbonate, calcium choride etc. are mixed in water which makes the hardness in water. The hardness of water is of two types,
1) Permanent hardness
Permanent hardness is due to chloride and sulphate salt of calcium and magnesium. In this type, the hardness of water,
cannot be remove easily.
2) Temporary hardness
In a temporary hardness, the hardness of water can be remove
by boiling the water. temporary hardness of water is due to calcium bicarbonate and magnesium bicarbonate.
Method of removal of Temporary Hardness
1) By heating: When we heat, calcium bicarbonate and magnesium bicarbonate change into in soluble salt.
2)Treating with line water: Another way of remove of temporary hardness of water is by treating water with time water.
Advantage and Disadvantage of Hard water
Advantage:
1) Used in beer industries.
2)water become tasty dissolved salts of calcium and magnesium.
3)It helps in the development of bones and teeth as it contains calcium salts.
Disadvantages:
1) A large amount of soap is wasted.
2)Unfit for drinking.
3)Unfit for using in the steam boiler.
